Frequently Asked Questions
What is your fee?
Fees vary depending on the type of session. Please email me for a quote.
On receipt of payment I will send a written summary of the session and a letter of explanation to share with family members, if needed.

What are my payment options?
I accept all major credit cards, checks from reputable banks, and money orders.

Do you have a sliding scale?
I offer sliding scale appointments based on financial need.  No one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. We can discuss options for your financial situation.

Do you accept insurance?
No.   However, if you have a referral and your health insurance covers counseling with an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with a statement so that you can seek reimbursement.  I am not affiliated with any HMOs or PPOs.  Since coverage varies, I suggest you check with your insurance company to learn the specifics of your policy.

What is a Genetic Counselor?
A Genetic Counselor is a licensed health professional who has completed a master’s degree in Genetic Counseling and passed a certification exam demonstrating competency.

Where are you located?
My office is located in the Inner Sunset/ UCSF district in San Francisco.  The nearest Muni line is the N Judah and the closest stop is at 4th Avenue and Irving. Sessions can also be conducted via telephone.
